Lido Adriano is located in the heart of a geographical area where nature is predominant.

The historic pine forests of San Vitale and Classe have very ancient origins.
In Ravenna there are also coastal pine forests, those of Casalborsetti, Staggioni, Piomboni, Raspona, Ramazzotti, Savio and Pinarella. They belong to the public domain and are a State Nature Reserve.
While the Pineta di San Viatale extends to the north of Ravenna, the Pineta di Classe extends to the south, from the town of Fosso Ghiaia to beyond Mirabilandia. Between the pine forest and the sea there is a landscape of exceptional value for birdlife and biodiversity: 40 hectares of wetlands occupied by the area of Ortazzo and Ortazzino and the mouth of the Bevano stream.
The PINE FOREST of San Vitale and the free-roaming horses of Ca Vecchia

The Bassona Beach
Perfect for a day at the beach in contact with nature, here you can get rid of your clothes in complete tranquility and experience the environment at 360°, "without limits and restrictions". Inside the Foce del Bevano Nature Reserve, it is accessed from Lido di Dante, because it is a protected area up to the mouth of the Bevano. The naturist beach is located between the Lido di Dante and Lido di Classe areas. It can be reached through the coastal pine forest from Lido di Dante or directly from the beach.
The beach has a natural appearance, the dunes are covered with Mediterranean vegetation and the only way to protect yourself from the sun is to build a hut using branches and trunks that the sea deposits on the shore.

The Ortazzo Oasis
An ancient freshwater rice paddy, today it is a brackish lagoon in which glasswort, junipers and sea buckthorns proliferate. To the west and north of the Ortazzo there are two watchtowers, ideal for birdwatching and photographic hideouts.
Just before the confluence between Bevano and Fosso Ghiaia, the Ortazzino opens up. Throughout the area you can easily spot pink flamingos, various species of herons and charadriiformes that come here to nest, such as the black-winged stilt, the avocet, the gull-billed tern and the Mediterranean gull.
The Mouth of the Bevano
A rare example of a meandering estuary free to evolve naturally, it is a time machine that transports us to an incredible and exciting scenario. Rare and protected birds such as the Kentish plover and the oystercatcher have chosen this portion of the coast as a breeding site, one of the last remaining at a national level. The final area of the route that leads to the Mouth of the Bevano is subject to visit restrictions. It is usually closed in the spring months, sometimes until mid-summer, depending on the nesting times of some protected species.
The Paguro of Ravenna
A wreck at the bottom of the sea is a perfect exploration point for those who love scuba diving. The Paguro platform was built by AGIP between 1962 and 1963 off the coast of Lido Adriano. On September 28, 1965, the drill reached a depth of 2,900 meters, there was a gas explosion and the platform, set on fire, sank into the sea. Over time, the Paguro wreck has become an interesting destination for divers who love marine biology thanks to the great variety of flora and fauna that it hosts.

Surrounded by the flat countryside of Classe, an ancient watchtower, the Torraccia, stands out. Three kilometers from the sea, the “Gaetana” tower was built in 1617 and the port annexed to the canal in modern times was the main maritime hub of Ravenna until 1737, when the “Corsini” canal was inaugurated.
Currently, you can reach the tower by taking a private carriage road on via Marabina, the road that connects Ponte Nuovo to Lido di Dante.
The Torraccia tells the story of the bond between Ravenna and the waters of the ancient marshes, the sea and the canals.
Once a port and commercial area of the ancient city of Classe, today a park open to the public of about 10,000 square meters able to offer the visitor an approximately synchronous view of the ancient port of Ravenna. You can visit the park freely, following the path indicated by the illustrative panels or book a guided tour. During the excavations, many materials were found, such as marbles, lamps, amphorae and precious objects today preserved and exhibited inside the Classis Museum which provides a precise and updated picture of the history of this area between the 5th and 6th centuries AD.
