Lido Adriano, a location on the Riviera Romagnola where you can color your seaside vacation with many collateral activities. Nature is predominant throughout the entire territory and offers many ideas for spending different and fun vacation days. Just as many entertainment opportunities are offered by amusement parks and historical-cultural attractions.
Lido Adriano is located in the heart of a geographical area where nature is predominant.
Long stretches of sand and a sea with calm waves, woods and lagoons with pink flamingos. The dry land is continuously interspersed with the sea, rivers, canals and green vegetation.
The centuries-old woods of the pine forests of Classe and San Vitale and the Regional Park of the Po Delta create a habitat rich in flora and fauna, ideal for birdwatching enthusiasts.
In Ravenna there are also coastal pine forests, those of Casalborsetti, Staggioni, Piomboni, Raspona, Ramazzotti, Savio and Pinarella. They belong to the public domain and are a State Nature Reserve.
While the Pineta di San Viatale extends to the north of Ravenna, the Pineta di Classe extends to the south, from the town of Fosso Ghiaia to beyond Mirabilandia. Between the pine forest and the sea there is a landscape of exceptional value for birdlife and biodiversity: 40 hectares of wetlands occupied by the area of Ortazzo and Ortazzino and the mouth of the Bevano stream.
The PINE FOREST of San Vitale and the free-roaming horses of Ca Vecchia
A unique experience in nature: an excursion to the Pine Forest of San Vitale and Ca Vecchia, a green oasis of over 1,000 hectares, 20 km from Lido. Centuries-old trees, local fauna, wild horses, marsh harriers, egrets, herons, coots, grebes, teals and mallards. A fascinating story that of the free-roaming horses, which have lived here for centuries. Visiting the Circolo Ippico Ravennate you will have a close encounter with these splendid animals. The S.A.R.E.I.S. Association (Società Allevatori Razze Equine Italiane Sella) hosts about thirty free-roaming horses in its 300 hectares. On horseback, by bike or on foot, each route will give you an unforgettable experience. Access is free all year round with different times and routes depending on the season.
The Maritime Park frames nine seaside resorts in Ravenna. A unique ecosystem, the result of a redevelopment project of the great environmental heritage of this area, to make it more accessible, sustainable and inclusive.
Along these kilometers of beach, the pine forest harmoniously frames the beach and the beach resorts, connecting them with the lagoon areas, accommodation facilities and residential centers. A harmony created thanks to the cycle/pedestrian path made of wooden walkways that cross dunes and pine forest, without altering the morphology of the place. The paths of the Maritime Park follow pre-existing itineraries, increasing the views and access to the sea. The walkways are elevated structures that protect the environment and create easy access routes to the beach.
Between Lido di Classe and Lido di Dante, a protected nature reserve of 40 hectares that you can visit on foot, by bike or by canoe. There are many guided excursions from the Cubo Magico Bevanella Visitor Center. You will discover the lagoons of Ortazzo and Ortazzino, the protected beach where the Kentish plover nests, flora and fauna of an uncontaminated area where humans cannot leave footprints.

A paradise for nature lovers of 827 hectares, which is home to numerous species of animals and plants in the Natural Park that surrounds it. Here, the ancient tradition of salt harvesting continues today with artisanal methods, in particular in the Camillone Salt Pan section, where the salt is extracted manually. The experience of the cavadura, (salt harvesting) is a ritual that is repeated every year from August. It is a marvel to see the salt slowly emerge from the water, thanks to the heat of the sun and the wind. The two itineraries dedicated to the visit are CerviaSale and CerviaMare.

A wreck at the bottom of the sea is a perfect exploration point for those who love scuba diving. The Paguro platform was built by AGIP between 1962 and 1963 off the coast of Lido Adriano. On September 28, 1965, the drill reached a depth of 2,900 meters, there was a gas explosion and the platform, set on fire, sank into the sea. Over time, the Paguro wreck has become an interesting destination for divers who love marine biology thanks to the great variety of flora and fauna that it hosts.
